National Girlfriends Day 2020

August 1, 2020 is being celebrated as National Girlfriends Day. It's considered an annual holiday. National Girlfriends Day was created by sisterwoman.com. In the year '2006, Allie Savarino Kline and Sally Rodgers created this networking site in order to discuss topics of interest. These topics ranged from parenting to favorite television shows. You know, subjects you'd talk about with your girlfriend!

Now, before I go any further, what or shall I say "who" would qualify as a girlfriend? Good question. Let's look at that. Your girlfriend can be your mother, your sister or even your classmate. Can you think of someone you call your girlfriend? I'm sure you can.

So, if there's a lady in your life that you can call your friend, then girl, celebrate! Today is the day to do just that. So grab your phone, pick up a pen, get in your car...whatever it takes. Just let that special lady know that they are loved and appreciated by you.
