"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease among the people."
~ KJV (public domain)
Before I began this journey with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, I was diagnosed with a condition called Sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease affecting multiple organs in the body. It mostly affects the lungs and lymph nodes. There is no single way to diagnose this disease and in fact, some people may show no outward symptoms. The symptoms vary greatly, so it's important to be properly examined if you have suspicions.
Now, the initial symptoms or complaints are, a persistent dry cough, fatigue, and shortness of breath. These are just to name a few. Shortness of breath was how I came to be diagnosed. At that time, I didn't think much of the short breaths, attributing it to just plain getting older and lack of exercise. But I was so wrong! When I was informed that I had Sarcoidosis, I was surprised. I had only just heard of this disease because of a well-known celebrity's diagnosis. So I had to do my research to find out "what exactly is Sarcoidosis?" and "How did this happen?" I had to start seeing a specialist, a pulmonologist. Well, I asked my pulmonologist questions to help me understand my condition and he was very helpful, explaining things to me. A treatment plan was put in place.
So I bring all this up because there just may be someone who may need this information, or know of someone who does. The scriptures declare that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). God, in His wisdom and power, created mankind in His own image. The design of the human anatomy is quite simply, awesome, and medical science is still learning, more and more, information of how our bodies function. This just proves to us that God is not just an intelligent being, but He is an ALL-KNOWING being (Omniscient).
In the above text, it is recorded that Jesus went about all Galilee teaching and preaching good news. That's what the word 'gospel' means...good news! The gospel of Jesus Christ is just that....good news. The good news is that Jesus came to save and Jesus came to heal. There is nothing that Jesus cannot do, except fail! He never fails. So no matter what your condition or your situation may be, rest assured that there is good news. Be it cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, or even Sarcoidosis, you name it. The same Jesus who healed all manner of sickness and disease in the bible, is the same Jesus who heals ALL manner of sickness and disease TODAY! Whether it is physical, mental, spiritual, or yeah I'll say it, even financial, He is just the same today! Jesus heals!!!!
"...If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee."
~ Exodus 15:26 KJV
