Losing Love

The pain or grief of losing a loved one (spouse, child, friend, loved one, etc.) can sometimes feel like wet fall leaves. The leaves were once beautiful, colorful, vibrant, a joy to behold. Then suddenly a change comes. What was once beautiful and vibrant, once such a joy to gaze upon, is now changing. Fading ever so slowly. Then the rain comes. What happened to what we had such a love for?
It is often a question that is asked by people - what happened? What happened to our loved one? Much like the leaves, they started off in life young and full of life. A beautiful sight to behold. Refreshing. As the circle of life evolved, we met and fell in love with our leaf. Leaves come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, but something about them brings color to our lives. They're a joy to behold.

I'm equating people as leaves because I believe we have some commonality. We, like leaves, are here for only a set length of time. God has numbered our days. We don't know how many those days are, but we must remember that our days are numbered. Our time is short.
Pain is felt in many ways. Some we're unable to adequately express. Our emotions go through an indescribable journey of expressions. We watched a leaf (or leaves) reach its peak season and fall. It's difficult to watch a fall. It can cause grief. Grief is difficult to express. Losing love is like that - difficult. Especially when there have been a number of years and experiences involved. How to deal? How to cope?
As we go through this life, we will encounter many people. Many leaves. In many shapes, sizes, colors. Some will last longer than others, but for certainty, we all have a set time. I want to encourage you to notice your leaves. Appreciate your leaves. Even love your leaves. They will bring youth, vibrancy, color to your life. Enjoy them for there's coming a rainy fall day and most certainly, winter.
Enjoy living and keep looking UP!!!
